Community Beach Clean Coming to Lowestoft

The Plastic Free Communities Campaign is launching with a community beach clean and everyone is invited to get involved!

Taking place on Saturday 11th April, the event is part of the national Surfers Against Sewage Big Million Mile Spring Clean, a nationwide effort to protect local environments by clearing litter from beaches, parks and streets across the UK.

Whether you’re 8 or 80, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to Lowestoft’s coastline and help prevent plastic waste from reaching the sea.

All equipment is provided by Litter Free Lowestoft, so just wear something suitable for the weather and get ready to get stuck in!

Plastic Free Communities Lowestoft is a town-wide initiative led by Lowestoft Town Council, bringing together residents, schools, businesses and community groups to reduce single-use plastic across the town. This beach clean marks the start of that journey!
