About Us

Lowestoft Vision is the Business Improvement District (BID) for Lowestoft, tasked with enhancing the town's commercial environment and driving economic growth.
Lowestoft Vision, the Business Improvement District (BID) for the town, is funded by contributions from over 300 businesses. Lowestoft Vision operates as a limited company and is a subsidiary of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

What is a bid?

Local businesses fund a Business Improvement District (BID) to improve a geographically defined area, like the centre of Lowestoft. Commercial occupiers vote on adopting a business plan setting out improvements and services that local authorities and statutory bodies would not ordinarily provide. We manage the town centre BID, funded by a levy charged in addition to business rates. The levy provides the cash to develop projects that benefit businesses in the BID area.

Through this platform, Lowestoft Vision aims to support businesses by increasing footfall, fostering community engagement, and improving the town’s overall visibility and appeal.
