Lowestoft Library has thanked Lowestoft Vision for organising the festive Santa’s grotto every Saturday during December.
The grotto at Lowestoft Library was well attended with almost 300 children visiting Santa as part of the 2023 Christmas events in the local town centre. The grotto was designed and created by the Lowestoft Vision team, with special thanks to Sue Ryder for donating Santa’s chair and some of the props, and to East Suffolk Council and ABP Ports for their support.
Visitors to the grotto paid just £3 to see Santa, which included a gift. A fantastic £807 was raised for Lowestoft Library. Jo Wilde, Lowestoft Library Manager said “We’ve had really positive response from families and the money donated will be used to enhance our services in the community.”
Danny Steel, Chair of Lowestoft Vision said “Lowestoft Vision were really proud to be able to deliver a Santa’s grotto this Christmas, a massive thank you and well done to all involved.”
Angela Grey, Lowestoft Vision’s Business Improvement District Manager added: “I am so grateful to East Suffolk Council and Lowestoft Library, without their support Lowestoft Vision would have not been able to organise and deliver the Santa’s grotto in our town centre, we really hope we can do this again in 2024”
Lowestoft Vision is a Business Improvement District (BID) for central Lowestoft. The organisation projects are funded and developed by local business from within the BID area, and is delivered in association with Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.
