Former Post Office Public Engagement Sessions

Event Details

Partners involved in the delivery of the construction works at the former Post Office in Lowestoft are holding an engagement event about the restoration process and how the listed building is being reimagined as a vibrant new arts venue to be operated by Messums Creative.

The event will take place on: Tuesday 28th April 2026

There are two sessions: 11am and 1:30pm

Location: Britten Room at Lowestoft Library (Clapham Road South, Lowestoft NR32 1DR).

In early 2025, East Suffolk Council appointed Barnes Construction to deliver the project, with work beginning in March last year. This transformative development has been made possible through funding from the Towns Fund, East Suffolk Council, Arts Council England, and Messums Creative.

This event will give the community the opportunity to hear from the project team to learn more about the future plans for the building, the heritage and restoration approach and to put forward any questions you may have.
