Get involved with the “IMPRESSIONS” project and develop your sketches or photos of the sculptures on the beach by exploring cyanotype printmaking. We encourage everybody to get involved , previous experience is not required.
With a host of sculptures brought to the town as part of First Light Festival join in on one of our 3 hour printmaking sessions led by Hugh and Lisa Davies. Cyanotype is a great way to explore making prints by directly placing objects or drawings on clear film over UV sensitive paper. The technique lends itself to creating stunning images in cyan blue and white with potential for intricate detail. Bring along a selection of found materials from the beach ,sketches and/or photographs that you have made of the sculptures on the beach as a basis for your design. Messums are also looking at the possibility of some sample materials from the work of Zena Holloway ( Ephemeral Beauty) being made available for this workshop)
