Open to all ages and experience levels, our community samba band is a great opportunity for a fun, social and expressive activity. The band rehearses weekly on Tuesday and takes part in a range of performances and events throughout the year. You may have seen them at the First Light Festival or Norwich Lord Mayor’s Procession.
The band started in April 2023 and did its first performance for the First Light Festival that year. It is lead by Marcus Patteson (Rabo de Foguete) an experienced local Samba tutor and carnivalist. They play a range of traditional and contemporary grooves drawn from Brazilian (and other) carnival.
No experience necessary and all instruments supplied. Get in touch to find out the next induction for new members!
