Heritage Open Days 2022

Once again volunteers across England have organised events to celebrate the fantasitc history and cuture of our country and our our town.

This year the festival's theme is Astounding Inventions where we can explore the history of invention and innovation in our town and country.

There are talks and tours on the town's great historical innovations such as Lowestoft Ice factory which was a showpiece of Victorian engineering to modern day times with The Gull Wing Briddge and 3D printed pugs

Plenty for all to  see and do over the 10 days including the "Blessing the Herring ceremony", an 1880's themed weekend, free rides on vintage busses built at the Lowestoft Coachworks and lots more.

As well was talks and tours, many of the churches and historic buldings around Lowestoft will be open for you to take a look arouns at your leisure.
