Marina Theatre Launches New Menu
Marina TheatreIt’s a café that is in the heart of the community – situated in the town’s only purpose built professional theatre.
And now, the Marina Theatre Café in Lowestoft is launching its new menu, with something to appeal to all tastes.
The emphasis is on promoting locally sourced produce from across East Anglia– including the selection of delicious handmade pies from a local Suffolk piemaker.
The Café is also the place to visit before an afternoon or evening show, with the introduction of the pre theatre dining range of High Tea Platters.
Whether it be a Fisherman’s Platter consisting of a selection of fish to wet your appetite or others including a Ploughman’s - which is where you can enjoy wonderful Suffolk cheese and the Norfolk Knobbly chutney - café staff will ensure your theatre experience is a memorable one.
And why not follow this up with a winter warmer of a dessert, with choices including Sticky Toffee Pudding, Spotted Dick, Caramel Apple Pie and Fruity Berry Stack.
We also champion gluten free options across the menu.
And there’s more!
The kids menu is sure to prove popular with families and the lunch menu of a handmade pie served with mash and vegetables is a must.
All of the pies are handmade in Suffolk and include Steak & Adnams Broadside, Chicken & Suffolk Smoked Ham, Sweet Potato, Spinach & Feta and Smoked Salmon Broccoli & Dill.
Deborah Gallagher, catering manager, said: “Our Café is at the heart of our community and we have added some great locally sourced products to enhance our menu.
“We have some delicious food options on offer at fantastic prices – set in a great atmosphere.
“We look forward to welcoming our familiar faces and for people to enjoy our pre theatre dining menu along with our tasty handmade pies.”
A range of hot and cold drinks are also available, including takeaway options - perfect for those cold winter days.
Cakes including the Chocolate Brownie, Caramel Shortbread and Fruit Scones, all of which are gluten free, are always popular.
The new menu launched on Thursday, October 27 and the café is open from 10am Monday to Saturday.
