Pathways Care Farm gives vulnerable people the opportunity to learn, re-build and grow through a range of hands-on farming activities. This might include planting, fruit and vegetable cultivation, helping to restore a barn, animal husbandry or even arts and crafts or woodwork. Situated in the north of Lowestoft, Pathways has transformed a 13-acre farm, which has been neglected for years, into a beautiful and productive safe haven. In short, creating an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of busy, troubled contemporary life.
We don’t just want to be in our town, we want to be a part of our community. The café has enabled us to invite people into the farm, to be a part of what we do here. We also hold monthly work party days when people can come and get involved – we’ve done incredible things on these days with the help of neighbours and friends! We also love to host work parties; teams who come and spend a day or two at the farm doing all sorts of practical jobs for us from moving compost to painting barns or building bridges.
