Lowestoft Library

Lowestoft Library is ideally located in the town centre offering traditional library services like free book borrowing and information provision alongside a wide range of community resources.
There is a regular programme of events and activities for all ages, the library has up to date computers for public use and the building has free wifi.

The Library houses the Suffolk Record Office. We encourage local groups and organisations to make use of our large foyer for information displays and exhibitions.

Our meeting room is available for hire and we have Fax/Photocopy/Scan facilities available if required. Our friendly, knowlegeable staff are always happy to provide help and answer enquiries, any local folk who want to get involved with the library are invited to join the Friends of Lowestoft Library.

Lowestoft Library is a member of Suffolk LIbraries IPS , a charitable organisation. We rely on Suffolk County Council for funding to provide a statutory Library service, this is supplemented by fundraising and donations. We are very grateful to our Friends group who help us with this.
